Local Artists and Musicians Showcased at ArtStorm Tonight

Tonight ArtStorm provides proof that Houston's art and music scene is smokin' hot, as the young, hip and artsy will no doubt flock to sweat it out at the opening reception for "Creature Comforts" (guest curated by Eli Sebastian Brumbaugh). This exhibit, the second for ArtStorm in their new space at The Caroline Collective, will feature Toronto-based artist Deforgeo and local contemporary artists Lisa Marie Godfrey, Rene Cruz, Shane Hillman, and Jacob Calle.

Local acts The Young Mammals, Wicked Poseur and News on the March will share the stage with the LA art rock trio Hard Place. Squeeze into those high-waisted skinny jeans, slick down that ironic mullet and join us for a night of art and rawk.

ArtStorm was founded last October and serves as a gallery space for underrepresented and emerging artists. "Creature Comforts" is on display through August 9th.

"Creature Comforts" Opening Reception
Saturday, July 12, 2008
