Houstonist Bartender: Humid in H-Town

While enjoying a "pleasant" summer Houston evening at a local patio-bar this week, we found ourselves itching for a new drink to replace our usual "Goose and Diet Tonic" (hey, we're watching our figure!) While conversing with our cocktail waitress to garner ideas, we overheard a young lady at the table next to us order a "Humid in H-Town."

Having had our curiosity piqued, we glanced at the young lady and stated, "Wow, that's an interesting drink. What is it?" Hoping for this to be the casual ice breaker that could lead to an interesting evening with a beautiful woman, instead we were coldly greeted with a, "why are you eavesdropping, old man?"

Fortunately, the cocktail waitress turned around and made the save by getting the drink recipe for us. But, alas! No digits!

Hmmm... does that really constitute a "save"?

Either way, try the drink out for yourself if you're into fruity-tasting beverages.

Humid in H-Town

+3 oz. Grey Goose Vodka
+ 2 oz. Jose Cuervo White Tequila
+ 4 oz. Cranberry Juice
+ 2 oz. Pineapple Juice

Mix together in shaker, strain over ice and be prepared to sweat.

Have a drink we should spread to the masses? Send it along [bartender at houstonist dot com], and we just may post it after some extensive testing.

Don't be a dumbass. Drink responsibly or take a cab.
