The Miller Outdoor Theatre (MOT) is rolling out Movies In The Park this week with three nights of cinema comedy classics. Make a batch of your favorite popcorn, load up some drinks in a cooler, grab the kids, the neighbors, your significant other and a blanket and head down to Hermann Park to catch the following films.

The Thin Man

Tuesday, August 19 - 8:15 pm

Everyone’s favorite society sleuths, Nick and Nora Charles (played by William Powell and Myrna Loy) work their way through murder, mayhem and martinis, all with great flair and ample wit.

A Day at the Races

Wednesday, August 20 - 8:15 pm
The Marx Brothers - Groucho, Chico and Harpo - in one of their funniest. Groucho is Dr. Hugo Z. Hackenbush, who struggles to keep a sanatorium open with the aid of Chico, Harpo and a misfit racehorse.

Some Like it Hot

Thursday, August 21 - 8:15 pm
Widely considered the funniest movie ever made. 1920’s musicians Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis hide from the Mob by putting on dresses and heels and playing with an all-girl band. Marilyn Monroe is the band’s ditzy singer, the delectable, Sugar Kane.

These movies are free and tickets are not required. Covered seating under the overhang will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. So get there early if you don't want to sit on the lawn.

Remember, no glass containers, so leave the wine bottles at home or better yet, fill up that wineskin you've been dying to use.
