If you've been feeling the pain being away from the YMCA (or just really like the Village People), Houston locations of the YMCA are opening up one-by-one as power is restored and Ike-inflicted damage is overcome.

Here are the YMCAs that are currently open (on limited schedule based on area curfews and staffing) - 10 out of 41, ouch!:

No dice on the Galveston Y location - apparently the destruction was severe with playground equipment on the roof of the building (fun for the kiddies?) and massive flooding.
