Curfews Remain In Effect

Despite many parts of the city returning to normal, there are still hazards in the pitch black night streets -- not to mention crews of electrical workers -- that should be avoided. For those reasons, the city of Houston and most other surrounding cities still have curfews in effect this week, although the hours have been slightly decreased. Below you'll find a list of cities and their current curfews:

  • Houston: midnight to 6:00 a.m., ending on Monday, September 22nd
  • Pasadena: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Pearland: 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., ending TBA

  • Bellaire: 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ending on Sunday, September 21st
  • Hedwig Village: 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Stafford: midnight to 7:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Missouri City: 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ending on Sunday, September 21st
  • Meadows Place: 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Humble: 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Conroe: sundown to sunup, ending TBA
  • West Columbia: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Angleton: 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • La Porte: 7:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Rosenberg: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00a.m., ending TBA
  • Montgomery County: 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ending TBA
  • Chambers County: 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., ending TBA
Remember that police can fine or even arrest you if you're found on the streets after curfew. You're better off settling in with a beer and a candlelit game of Uno at home, trust us.

Some areas either have no curfews currently in effect or are asking their residents to stay away entirely until cleanup and rescue efforts have made more headway. Those areas are listed below:


  • Ft. Bend County: no curfew

  • Sugar Land: no curfew

  • Tomball: no curfew

  • Friendswood: no curfew

  • Galveston: residents urged to stay away

  • Webster: residents urged to stay away

  • Baytown: residents urged to stay away

  • Orange County: residents urged to stay away
