It's been a rough week, Houston.
And what could be better for cheering us all up than a huge dose of early 1980s cheddar? Take a deep whiff of the opening segment to the short-lived soap opera, Texas, set right here in the Bayou City, and feel that 80s love. ...or not.
Highlights of the clip include the San Jacinto Monument, a 1981-era downtown skyline, the Houston Ship Channel, a random shot of an unidentifiable green field, a blatant ripoff of the Dallas theme music (among other things), more shoulderpads than the Texans' locker room, several sweet examples of the Farrah Do, and some atrocious blue eye makeup.
...starring Beverlee McKinsey!
Have a safe and restful weekend, folks. You deserve it.

Missed Connections: Gefilte Fish...and "Chain Connections"

The amount of hairspray represented in that opening sequence is almost unfathomable.
