It ain't over til the fat lady gets power

If you're like us, you're just as perplexed about the power grids in the Heights. 6th street has power. 17th doesn't. Yale has power, some of Heights Blvd. doesn't But we realize it's not as simple as we think, and we're trying to be patient and wait it out with the rest of them.

As a friend put it this morning, in his best Charlie and the Chocolate Factory voice, "I bet those golden tickets (ELECTRICITY) make the chocolate taste awful." What ever gets you through the day, friend.

But alas! The show must go on! And Opera in the Heights has forged forward, even after having their performance space destroyed by Ike, these Super Troopers are gonna let a little thing like POWER stop them!

Join Opera In The Heights for their dress rehearsals at Lambert Hall in the Heights, despite the TONIGHT and TOMORROW [Mon 9/22 + Tue 9/23]. There's no power, but plenty of enthusiasm to keep the party going. Doors open at 7pm, and performance begins at 7:30pm both nights.

Everyone is invited to attend this FREE performance and they would love to extend the
opportunity to as many photographers [novice, professional and otherwise] to come shoot the rehearsal and even shoot with flash.

Monday + Tuesday, Sept 22nd-23rd
doors at 7pm, performance at 7:30pm
FREE and open to the public
Lambert Hall | 1703 Heights Boulevard, Houston, TX 77008
