Got your tickets for the Flavor Tripping party tomorrow night? Good! Then you know that the event has been moved from the Saint Arnold brewery to The Social on Washington Avenue, due to scheduling conflicts. But don't despair -- there will still be plenty of sweet, sweet beer to go around. Instead of the flotilla of Saint Arnold brews, there will be three beers on tap for the night: Guinness (which tastes like a chocolate milkshake while under the influence of the berry), Brooklyn Lager and Saint Arnold's Elissa IPA.
The party, which is being hosted by the Houston Chowhounds to benefit the James & Katharine Koonce Fund, will also be selling Miracle Berry tablets and copies of Fearless Critic's Houston Restaurant Guide and The Wine Trials: 100 Everyday Wines Under $15 that Beat $50 to $150 Wines in Brown-Bag Blind Tastings (with a name and a concept like that, what's not to love?). A generous 40% of the proceeds from the sales of the books will go towards the Koonce Fund.
Didn't get tickets to this Friday's party? Don't fret; it sold out quicker than a David Hasselhoff concert in Hamburg. But there's a second Flavor Tripping party coming up on Sunday, November 23rd, which will also be held at The Social. As with this Friday's event, a $35 ticket buys you admission to the party, one fresh berry and all-you-can-consume food and beverage (including beer...within limits, people). The event on November 23rd will run from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and are still tickets left, so get to the website fast to buy them!
If you were quick like a bunny and bought your tickets to tomorrow's event, we'll see you there. And fix your do before you come: we're taking pictures.
