Rock The Cradle For Johnny Romano

Rock The Cradle is the first World Cup Invitational event that the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark has seen. There are going to be a number of pros and ams competing in today's events.

Rock The Cradle is a benefit for Johnny Romano, an avid 10 year old skater and surfer who recently passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. All proceeds from this event go to the Romano Family to help pay for Johnny's medical bills.

Today's event is from noon to 4pm and will be held at the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark near downtown. The admission is $10 or you can give blood. There will be a blood mobile on site accepting donations.

For a really great show, head out and catch this event. We don't get World Cup Invitational events very often, so if you like skating, you have to check this one out and it's for a great cause. See you there!

How awesome is it that they're acccepting blood donations in lieu of the admission fee? I hope that people actually donate; the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center could really, really use the donations. Great event, great cause. :)
