Houstonist Bartender: Wicked Sky

Houston, we've had some lovely days in the neighborhood with rain, rain, drizzle and only a couple of brief spots of sunshine. We needed the rain (we always say that...heck, we said it during T.S. Allison, crazy talk). Here's a beverage sure to make you not give a rat's ass forget your woes after a long work week. As usual, drink at home, drink responsibly and for the love, do not drive intoxicated - they got no wifi or laptops in the clink, or, so we hear. Now, we're preparing ourselves for the cold snap that is supposed to be forthcoming, you know, busting out all of our winter clothes and sweat pants for the couple of weeks we can actually wear them without breaking a real sweat. Today we bring you the Wicked Sky, it applies to either rain or that full-ish moon we've been spotting through the cloud cover. Okay, it's a reason to drink scotch, like anyone actually needs a "reason".

Wicked Sky

1 oz. Single Malt Scotch
1 1/2 oz. Midori (or melon liqueur)
Pineapple Juice

In a shaker with ice add the Scotch and Midori. Shake well and pour ice and all into a highball glass. Fill with pineapple juice. Garnish with a small wedge of pineapple.
