Keep Houston Rich is the latest in "non-corporate" marketing slogans tied to our town similar to Houston: It's Worth It in that it seeks to differentiate our metropolis from those other Texas towns everyone seems to talk about.
The slogan is about more than money. Per the website, Houston's richness is also rooted in the cultural diversity of the populous. The website promotes said attribute by hosting assuming the role of a Houston-centric video channel. Current content spans several categories including arts, nostalgia and news.
KHR also seeks "to show Houston's ironic edge." Well, they may get more than they bargained for if oil prices continue to plunge.
