Rice Gallery: Micheal A. Salter's Too Much

Wanna see a huge styrofoam robot? Then head over to the Rice Gallery on the campus of Rice University and check out Michael A. Salter's huge styrofoam robot and logo art installation. It's big, it's awesome and it's very cool.

Houstonist first saw Michael Salter in an issue of Wired Magazine and we are very happy that he has recently created this installation here in Houston.

The Rice Gallery is open from Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 - 5:00 pm, Thursday, 11:00 - 7:00 pm, Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm and closed Mondays and university holidays.

The artist, Michael Salter was born in Bristol, Connecticut in 1967. He received a BFA in sculpture and graphic design from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio in 1992, and an MFA in studio art from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1994.

This exhibit is on display until December 14th.
