After you've recovered from the coma-inducing tryptophan coursing through your veins tomorrow, grab your friends and family and head over to Post Oak Boulevard for one of Houston's favorite traditions: the 23rd Annual Uptown Holiday Lighting.
This year's party will kick off at 4:00 p.m. and features live holiday music and festive concessions like cotton candy and kettle corn (we didn't know those were festive, but we like them anyway) before Santa himself shows up at 7:00 p.m. along with his reindeer to turn on the half-million lights along the boulevard. Afterwards, a fireworks display set to holiday music will light up the night sky.
The lighting will take place up and down Post Oak Boulevard between San Felipe and Westheimer (click here for a full map). Admission is free and so is parking, thanks to the abundance of parking garages in Uptown (a full list can be found here), so get down to Uptown tomorrow and ring in the holidays with style.
