Is Biggio a Rangers Fan?

This afternoon Houstonist was parked on at a patio enjoying a tasty burger when we spied Craig Biggio rolling through the drive through. As he pulled forward, we noticed what looked to be a Texas Rangers "T" stuck on the back window of his SUV.

We were terribly vexed and have been ever since. Why would a Houston Astros legend have a Rangers logo on his ride?

  • It was really a University of Tennessee "T"
  • He was driving Nolan Ryan's car
  • The stands for "Threethousandhits" not the Texas in Texas Rangers
Readers, let us know if you have the answer to the Biggio T Mystery. Thanks.

The "T" sticker is most likely the St. Thomas High school logo. In fact, I'm pretty sure their baseball caps look almost identical to the Texas Rangers. The reason it would be on Biggio's truck is because he took on the role of assistant coach of the St. Thomas baseball team after he retired from the Astros.

OF COURSE! Nice work. I figured that it was something like that, but I was high on Beck's Prime and distracted by my buddy's insistence that it was a Rangers logo.
