Don't know the difference between Woodland Heights and Sunset Heights? The Third Ward and the Second Ward? Hilshire Village and Hunters Creek Village? Or, like Houstonist, are you just a cartography geek at heart? Then check out this incredibly informative map of Houston neighborhoods and landmarks from Wikimapia. Wikimapia is a tool that meshes Wiki-style editing and information with Google Maps. Wikimapia even allows the embedding of YouTube videos and other links into the maps, further broadening the applications of mapping as a way to spatially display and review data. Now if only someone would make a map of the point at which Bingle turns into Voss, Voss turns into Hillcroft, San Felipe turns into Memorial, Memorial turns into Briar Forest, Montrose turns into Studemont, Studemont turns into Studewood… [via HAIF]
