Jefferson Davis Hospital Gets Historic Marker Sunday

JeffDavis.jpgTomorrow January 18th at 2:00 p.m. there will be a historic marker dedication at the original Jefferson Davis Hospital (this one, not that one). The Harris County Historical Commission will be hosting the event, and after there will be a tour of the building.

Jefferson Davis Hospital was built in 1924 as a city-owned hospital, and before its current makeover it sat vacant for about twenty years. In 2006, the redevelopment project won a Good Brick Award from the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance.
