Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels will be making his first ever trip to the NFL's All-Star game in Hawaii next month.
Daniels will be a replacement for the Chargers' Antonio Gates who dropped out because of an injury.
Daniels, a staple in the Texans' prolific offense, had a career year in 2008. He finished the season with 70 receptions with 862 yards and two touchdowns.
Daniels will be joining fellow teammates Andre Johnson and Mario Williams.
