After talking with numerous people before I started this, it just happened to be those three so far regardless of sport.

Lewis made his name here and who knows how much damaged he would of done at the 1980 Olympics while representing UH if President Carter didn't boycott. Oh, well. Lewis is by far the greatest UH alumnus. Not even Dream or Drexler has a statue or venue named after them like Carl Lewis at UH.

Thanks for reading!

Well, it's gotta be The Dream, right? He starred at UH, he brought home two NBA championships, he's a stellar person off the court...this one's a no-brainer!

I guess I can get on board with Carl Lewis. I guess. He really earned his reputation as an Olympian though...which might qualify him for America's Mt. Rushmore, but not necessarily Houston's. If that makes any sense at all. Which is probably doesn't.

The other two are great choices. I don't know if it needed to be "football, baseball, basketball and other," but what do I know.

The fourth face on Houston's Mt. Rushmore...I mean...it's obvious, right? And this person gets the "George Washington" spot at the head of the table, right?!
