Daily-ist Tuesday: Moroccan Moon Belly Dance Show

030309_JennaRes.jpg Avant Garden is not letting its reputation as headquarters for body-positive artsy seduction slide. The home of the monthly Dr. Sketchy life drawing class is hosting a new monthly event, starting tonight: The Moroccan Moon Belly Dance Show.

The event will

celebrate dance as women's art in all its forms. Featured performers include The Graceful Gabriela, Our Beloved Patsy, Jenna Ali Nari of L'imprevu Bellydance, The Stunning Sarea Sirena of the Sisters of Avalon, Elizabeth of the Desert Orchids, The Talented Tammy, and Giselle.
Poor Giselle. Her name seems so ordinary.
