You know what would benefit me more is if you make a map of the light rail and where the bars are in respect to it. That would be a great article. Plus it would be useful to people like me who are new in town.

Yeah, flash mobs and locals can be an uneasy mix. Again, though, there were no surprises on this crawl — and most of the locals I saw seemed to abide pretty well (especially the woman passed out on the bar, who had already reached her happy place).

are you really talking about a bar owner that's upset about 50+ additional customers on a early Fri. night and increased business during a recession? yeah let me know the bar too bc i won't be going back there. big thanks to the houstonist crew, the 5 or so of you handling the logistics of an unruly pub crawling mob is a big task

It was obvious the organizer didn't call anyone. Actually, we did call ahead to every stop on the crawl — they all knew we were coming (and about how big the group would be), but unfortunately, that didn't always mean smoother service. Hope everyone had a good time regardless, and thanks to all who came out!
