- Noon — 50th Annual Houston Saint Patrick's Day Parade, begins and ends at the Texas and Hamilton in downtown Houston, near minute Maid Park.
- 7 p.m. — Opening for Spanish artist Javier de Villota at the Station Museum of Contemporary Art. de Villota exhibit deals with the Yugoslavian war and the 1994 Sarajevo massacre. 1502 Alabama St.
- 7 p.m. — New work by Dirk Strangely, who has been featured in Juxtapoz Magazine, opening at Aerosol Warfare, 2110 Jefferson, Suite #113 in east Downtown.
SUNDAY
- 9 a.m. — 20th Annual AIDSs Walk Houston. Volunteer or participate for free in this 5K non-competitive walk to increase AIDS awareness and raise funds for treatment and research. Begins at San Houston Park downtown, 1000 Bagby. Ceremonies at 9 a.m., walk begins at 10 a.m. It's not too late to register, either.
