Well, it's not what University of Houston basketball fans wanted, but it's the best they're going to get so they'll take it.
On Sunday night, UH (21-11) accepted a bid to play in the College Basketball Invitational and they'll play Oregon State (13-17) Wednesday night at Gil Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon to kick things off.
Last year, UH made it to the CBI "final four" where they lost to Tulsa 73-69. This year, they'll be looking to improve on last year's showing.
UH will be led by C-USA Newcomer of the Year, Aubrey Coleman, who led the team in points (19.7) and rebounds (8.4). Also Kelvin Lewis (18.0 PPG) and Marcus Cousin (11.2 PPG) factor to be major contributors as well.
Wednesday night's game will be shown at 9 p.m. on HDNet.
