Andrew Bird needs to be experienced live. I have been a fan for several years but it wasn't until I saw him live that I appreciated the artistry that goes into his music. He talks about live looping, that's where he takes a few sounds from violins or even his own whistle and loops them to build intricate orchestrations. I'm in awe of this man.
