Thousand Cranes Perform at Y YOGA Movie Premiere This Sunday

The health benefits of yoga are well documented, but who knew the practice could also be a social movement? This Sunday and Monday, March 29-30 Jennyoga Studio and The Yoga Teacher Association of Houston will host the Houston premiere of Y YOGA, a film that seeks to promote "happiness as a global mission" through the practice of yoga. Check out the trailer below as ex-gang members, Marines, police officers and others explore the transformative powers of yoga and begin the "march as Peaceful Warriors into what tomorrow may bring with courage, gratitude from the fortitude that prepared us, and truth as the serum for our wounds".

Local experimental drone group A Thousand Cranes will perform on Sunday evening after the screening. The event is free to the public but donations are requested.
