H-Town Rock

For the Week of March 30th - April 1st, 2009

While we're sure that our band director from college would prefer that we give ample room and space to the promotion of the Chick Corea and Jon McLaughlin show at Verizon Wireless on Wednesday night (would Miles Davis have been able to create Bitches Brew without these two gentlemen?), we're going to go ahead and declare that we'd quite like to attend tonight's Britney Spears concert. Oh, that's right - feel free to make fun of us; we don't mind too much, as we'll freely admit that Ms. Spears' music is a mild guilty pleasure ("Toxic" is by far our favorite track). If you do make it out to the show, just make sure to miss the ungodly bastardization of original thought in pop music that is the Pussycat Dolls. Britney's tour promoters made quite an unfortunate choice there, but if you were able to afford the ticket prices for this event, we're quite jealous.
