Blog-ist: Offcite

040609_cite.jpg A subscription to Rice Design Alliance's gorgeous quarterly magazine Cite will set you back about $25 a year, but you can sample some of the non-profit's programs, interests and writing by reading the magazine's online companion, Offcite. (Clever, huh?)

Launched in December, Offcite features news on preserrvation efforts, short essays, like this one on Houston's car culture, weekly headlines and book reviews, all on a website as beautiful to look at as the designs it heralds.
