The Astros and the City of Houston will be honoring Hall of Fame Broadcaster Milo
Hamilton today at 3 p.m. at the intersection of Texas and Hamilton.
Hamilton is now beginning his 24th year as the voice of the Houston Astros and has been calling games for 63 years. Owner Drayton McLane and Mayor Bill White will unveil the new sign.
No word yet on whether the Hall of Fame announcer's voice will be used for the crosswalk, however Houstonist supports the idea.
Suggested messages:
"It's winding up, the light has changed and go, go, go!"
and
"The light is red, kids, Milo reminds you to avoid stealing this base!"
We'd love to hear your suggestions in comments.
Way to go Milo - blue star for you!
