Daily-ist Tuesday: Houston Music Makers Mixer

042109_pearlbar.jpg Houstonist is just now learning about this monthly gathering meant to foster collaboration and camaraderie amongst Houston's musicians. Where have we been? Well, we know where we'll be tonight: Pearl Bar, for the April session of the Houston Music Maker's Mixer.

The event, open to anyone interested in the Houston music industry or making music in the Bayou City, is sponsored by The Recording Academy, SugarHill Studios and the Houston Press. Tonight's event will feature Ricky Anderson, and entertainment attorney; songwriter Connie Mims; Dan Workman of Sugarhill Studios; Houston Press Music Editor Chris Gray and more. The event is free.
