5 / 9 = Houstonist Crawfish Boil

Houstonist Crawfish Boil Strike up the band because it is time once again for Houstonist to boil crawfish for the greater good of our readers.

The crawfish truck is pulling in to Midtown on the morning of May 9th. From it we will extract 500 pounds of the best Louisiana mudbugs you've seen all season. They'll take a dip in one of our special hot tubs and be ready for you at 4 PM.

You should arrive at Coffee Groundz no later than 3:30 so that you can stake out dining location and take advantage of the drink specials. The CG crew will have their normal mix of libations at their disposal and a few new sippers designed to keep your lips cool and your mouth moist. But, that's not the best part about our 2nd annual get down.

This year's event will benefit the Houston Food Bank. HFB serves thousands of Houstonians and has been in dire need of supplies since Hurricane Ike paid us a visit. You'll receive a discount of $1 per can (or $5 for four cans) off of the admission fee.
