Thousands of crawfish will sacrifice themselves for your dining pleasure this Saturday at the 2nd Annual Houstonist Crawfish boil. Response for this year's event has been outstanding thus far. And, we can't wait to see you on Saturday.
Here's what you really need to know to insure that you have another kickass time with Houstonist.
HCB FAQ:
- When is the boil? This Saturday. The first batch will be ready at 4 in the PM.
- Where is it? Coffee Groundz, the epicenter of patio fun in Midtown.
- What's the cost? $10 if you bring 4 cans of food for Houston Food Bank. $15 if you forget the cans. CASH ONLY for entry!!!
- What does that include? All you can eat crawfish AND an entry for the raffle.
- What are you raffling? BoilCrawfish.com has provided a full crawfish boiling set-up (80 quart pot, jet burner & paddle). You must be present to win!
- Why are you doing this? Because we love crawfish. And, we love you.
- Y'all gonna have Houstonist schwag available? We'll have special edition Houstonist Crawfish Boil shirts as well as Houstonist koozies. Both will let your friends know that you've been having the fun.
- Are you going to sprinkle the hot stuff on the outside of the crawfish? Hell no. Never ask that question again.
- Do you really expect me to wash down my crawfish with coffee? Not necessarily. Coffee Groundz will have a full bar, beer and soft drinks - as well as those warm caffeinated beverages you've come to know and love. You will be able to run a credit card tab for bevs, but cash still works best for that, too.
- Will there be food to eat besides crawfish? Yep. Corn and potatoes, as well as Coffee Groundz full menu of options.
- Where should I park? Carpool to Coffee Groundz and park there. You may also park at Spec's until 8 PM.
- Will you pick me up if I have to park far, far away? Nope. But, REV Eco-Shuttle will give you a lift in a green-mobile for a tip. Call them at 877 GO REV GO.
