::Happy Hour for Memorial Park Conservancy::
050309_greenscene.jpg Memorial Park is truly a Houston treasure, and tonight you can help the folks charged with keeping it that way. Ecosocials is teaming up with New Living and Ruggles Green for a happy hour benefiting the Memorial Park Conservancy. The happy hour will feature a live DJ, door prizes from New Living, and "eco-tapas" like hempanadas and other specialty appetizers by Chef German.

The Memorial Park Conservancy aims to preserve the park's native habitat while ensuring the enjoyment of the park by the public. Projects include a pedestrian/cyclist bridge over Memorial drive, trail improvements and a forestry plan to identify and manage problem areas.
