Show Mom how smart and cultured you've become this Mother's Day on Sunday, May 10, 2009, by taking her to the second annual Houston Indie Book Festival.

This year's fest will be held at Domy Books, at 1709 Westheimer Road (near Dunlavy) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The event features Houston- and Austin-area independent publishers, magazines, and booksellers, all selling their wares at deeply discounted prices.
