Photographer's Description:

The mysterious 9 granite blocks at Glenwood Cemetery.
Anyone know what they are for?

There are 7 names inscribed, some without death dates (just birth). All males, and all with different last names. Only one of them googles to something, and that was for a Landscape Architect that died in 2000.

Thanks for choosing the pic as a photo of the day.

I've received a bit of information about the blocks over the weekend and will post it on flikr soon (waiting on permission).

Regards,
Brian aka Shoot Houston aka Steelsun

That's actually one of my favorite monuments in Glenwood — totally different from most anything else in the cemetery.
