Texas-based artist and writer Mat Wolff will present his collection of essays and performances titled "Dead Dogs" and "Why I Hate Debra Winger" tonight at the Houston Public Library's Central (a.k.a. downtown) location.

"Wolff’s essays and performances explore autobiographical narratives as daydreams and fantasy through a filter of the American pop culture idiom. "Dead Dogs" and "Why I Hate Debra Winger" are two works in progress about change, loss and personal evolution.

The library's been scheduling a ton of awesome events lately and Houstonist hasn't been disappointed by one yet. Tonight is sure to be interesting, at least. And the event is free.
