Former Houston Rockets star Robert Horry presented Alief Elsik High a $1,000 check last week as part of the NBA's "Got Milk" Get Fit by the Finals Challenge.

Horry was on hand to help get students to sign-up for the fitness challenge to help promote a healthy lifestyle.

“We had an overwhelming number of students from Elsik High School sign up for the Get Fit By Finals program on bodybymilk.com," said Body by Milk representative Julie Curry, who presented the check. "They logged their exercise and nutrition progress using our personal fitness tracker tool and got training tips from NBA athletes with our Daily Drill videos. To reward them for their participation, we presented them with $1,000 on behalf of Oak Farms Dairy, the NBA and Body By Milk.”

Elsik High School is among thousands of other schools nationwide that have received special Get Fit activation kits that includes expert fitness and nutrition videos, tips and drills from the NBA, and posters and banners featuring NBA and WNBA All-Stars Chris Paul and Diana Taurasi for school cafeterias and gyms that will urge teens to get fit.
