San Francisco Giants pitcher Randy Johnson added one more milestone to his future Hall of Fame career by becoming the 24th member of the elite 300 win club.

Johnson pitched six innings while allowing only three hits and an earned run in a 5-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Thursday.

Johnson was the first pitcher to win on his first attempt at his 300th win since Tom Seaver in 1985 and he became the sixth left-handed pitcher to do so.

Johnson was acquired by the Houston Astros on July 31, 1998. He went 10-1 with a 1.28 ERA down the stretch to help lead the Astros to a N.L. Central Division title and a 102-win season, the best in franchise history.

Notes: Johnson is the fourth former Astro to have 300 or more wins joining Roger Clemens (354), Nolan Ryan (324) and Don Sutton (324).
