Mix it Up at HMNS

It’s that time of year again. Hot sun, smothering humidity and random thunderstorms—all a part of the Houston summer. It also means it’s time for “Mixers and Elixirs” at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, starting this Friday, June 5th.

If you’re ready to see and be seen, dress to impress and boogie the night away with a bunch of really old fossils, it’s time to pony up to the Museum District and get your mixin’ on.

Just be careful when holding your elixirs over the 2nd floor railing, as we learn in the Wiess Energy Hall, gravity is an unstoppable force. Not that we’d know anything about spilling drinks on people from the 2nd floor of HMNS…

Here’s the lineup for the entire summer:

June 5 - Grady Gaines & the Texas Upsetters
June 12 - TropiCrew
June 19 - The Handsomes
June 26 - Molly & the Ringwalds
July 3 - Holiday weekend - Mixers resume July 10
July 10 - The Fab 5
July 17 - Mango Punch
July 24 - Mambo Jazz Kings
July 31 - The Chromatics
August 7 - Commercial Art
August 14 - Grupo Batacha
August 21 - Yvonne Washington & the Mix
August 28 - Grupo Ka-Che
