::Big Range Dance Festival - Venturing Out::

If you missed the first two weekends of the annual Big Range Dance Festival, don't get your unitard in a ruffle. There are three more chances to catch some of Houston's best dance and choreography starting tonight and wrapping up this weekend.

Tonight's performance, Venturing Out, is described as "non-formulaic dance-making emphasizing choreographic investigation, experimentation, and collective excavation." That description alone makes us want to replay our DVR'd past seasons of So You Think You Can Dance. Over and over. However, we suggests heading out to Barnevelder for the real thing tonight.

Venturing Out features the collaboration of Katelyn Halpern, Jocelyn Thomas, Jacqueline Nalett, jhon r. stronks, Jonnesha Hawkins, La'Crystal 7, Marlana Walsh-Doyle, Kiki Lucas, Nicole McNeil, Terrill Mitchell, Rhodessa Bell

Artistic direction: jhon r. stronks

This weekend's performances include "Program C" a sextet, a trio, and a quartet, complete with pre-show videos and dance peep shows.
