Houston Astros Hooky Day

Cubs v Astros
Mark Rudkin/Houstonist

Each team plays 162 games during the regular season. The Astros have 83 home games on their docket. And, of those, only five are day games during the week, i.e. "a businessman's special."

Today is the first of those games for the 2009 season, which makes it the greatest day in Houston Astros thus far this year. The Astros are looking to win the series against Chicago's north siders as both clubs seek to gain ground on the National League Central leading Brewers, but then you knew that.

Instead of walking over to a downtown food court and ordering dumplings with the rest of your cube dwelling posse, you should branch out and hit the Juice Box for lunch. Say it with us, "We'd like a game dog, some peanuts and a beer." Mmm...delicious. You should repeat that as many times as necessary - particularly if you're sitting next to us in the Bullpen Boxes.

C'mon down. You know you want to. Besides, if you played by the rules you'd be in gym class...or in a TPS Report review meeting.
