- 8:30 P.M. - The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company presents Summer Sampler of Dance at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park. If you get there early to get good seats you'll also get to see the dance documentary Faces of Houston by Ben Doyle. The performance will include the world premiere of Elevated by renowned choreographer Salim Gauwloos and several other pieces by contemporary choreographers. Free.
SATURDAY
- 11:00 A.M. - Wedding Ceremony and Reception: The Art Guys Marry a Plant. The latest in a series of "behavior" works by The Art Guys, the ceremony to unite the duo with a live oak sapling will be presided over by ordained minister Ed Cooper. The ceremony will take place in the Lillie and Hugh Roy Cullen Sculpture Garden across Bissonnet from the Museum of Fine Arts, with the reception immediately following at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. Free.
- 7:00 P.M. - Warehouse Live presents the U.S. Air Guitar Championships Houston Regionals. Each contestant will first perform to a 60 second excerpt from a song of their choosing. The top 5 are invited back on stage to perform a compulsory song. After the winner is chosen all the air guitarists are invited back on stage at the same time for the grand

SUNDAY
- 2:30 P.M. - Central City Co-Op and the Green Market at Discovery Green present Market to Menu: Cooking Local with Chef Ryan Pera. The Executive Chef from one of Houston's greenest restaurants, The Grove, will hold a cooking class featuring food from Green Market vendors.
