Rockets could face next season without Yao

Yahoo! Sports is reporting that there's a strong possibility that Yao Ming could be out for the year and maybe even longer.

“It sounds like he’s missing most of next season, if not the entire 82 games,” one league executive who has had recent discussions with the Houston front office told Yahoo! Sports. “That’s all that [the Rockets] will concede quietly, but they know it’s probably much worse.”

The Rockets did reveal last week that Yao's foot had not healed and that he was out indefinitely until further tests are done.

Yao has had four surgeries over the past three seasons and this recent broken foot was thought to have at least healed by now naturally, but that's not the case.

There's no doubt the Rockets will have the 7-6 center evaluated by other doctors, but until then, we can only hope it isn't that bad.
