Photographers: Today is the last day to send us your submissions for 600 sq mi: Hidden, Houstonist's second biennial photo show. So what are you waiting for?
What it is: The theme of the show is "Hidden," which means we'll be focusing on some of the best unexpected things about our hometown: the hidden places, the unexpected festivals, the overlooked people and anything else that makes Houston such a great city for people who scratch the surface. Everyone has their favorite bits of hidden Houston, and this is your chance to show us yours.
Who can enter: Absolutely anyone, regardless of experience level. If you can take a photo, you can enter. And you should.
How to enter: It's super easy. Just head to the show's website, 600sqmi.com, for everything you'll need — instructions, rules, the entry form, FAQs and a link to contact us with your questions and concerns. Each photographer may submit up to three images for one low, low entry fee of $15. (Yep, there's a maximum of three images per photographer; you can't pay $15 more and send three more in. Sorry!)
When: Right now! You must send us your images no later than 11:59 p.m. tonight (Monday, July 13, 2009) and get us your entry fee before the end of the day Wednesday, July 15. 600 sq mi: Hidden will open in October at Xnihilo Gallery in the Montrose.
