Cool off at Mam’s House of Ice

Mam's House of Ice in the Heights
Looking for a way to beat the stifling Houston summer heat? We have the perfect solution. Mam’s House of Ice is serving up New Orleans style snowballs everyday from 1pm-9pm in the Heights on the corner of 20th and Rutland.

These are not your standard crunchy snowballs. The ice is finely shaved to smooth texture you can drink with a straw. (We still prefer to eat with a spoon.) They have a wide variety of flavors and you can add such extras as condensed milk, vanilla ice milk, and ice cream. We suggest Blackberry and Champagne or Dreamsicle with condensed milk. You can even order a Doggie Snowball made with chicken broth for your furry friend.
