Daily-ist Tuesday: Steve Hockensmith

072809_crackthelense.jpg Houstonist continues to be impressed with the evening programming offered at the Central Library. From readings to craft classes to writing workshops, all for free, the library ain't just for nerds anymore, but of course, you already knew that.

Tonight author Steve Hockensmith will present a lecture called "Anything I Can Do, You Can Do Better: A Step-by-Step Guide to Being a More Successful Writer Than Me." The talk will focus on the publication of this latest novel, The Crack in The Lens, as well as the ups and downs of a writing career and tips for burgeoning writers, such as crafting a marketable manuscript, landing an agent, making contacts in the publishing world, and staying motivated when the going gets tough.

An Evening with Steve Hockensmith
