Space Shuttle Endeavor landed at 9:48 CST at Kennedy Space Center. The mission, STS-127, included five space walks and a trip to the International Space Station to swap crew members. Astronaut Timothy Kopra joined the ISS crew as a flight engineer and science officer. Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata returned to Earth aboard Endeavor.
There are only six missions left on the space shuttle docket before they are retired. Next up is Discovery, which is set to take its spot on the launch pad Monday in preparation for STS-128. The mission is designed to complete work on the ISS.
