Daily-ist: Monday

:: HSPVA Annual Juried Show ::

Many area school kids begin the new year today. We can't help but be jealous of the new lunchboxes, Lisa Frank specialty Trapper Keepers, and the smell of new text books. There is one thing we won't miss, and that's being labeled the arty kid and being thrown paint brushes at. Ok, that didn't technically happen. Maybe it was a smock.

High school can be a scary time for the creative kiddos. And what better way to support these budding Picassos than to gaze lovingly at their (sometimes premature, but always daring) art works. In honor of the art kid in all of us, head to the Jung Center tonight to view the Annual High School for the Visual and Performing Arts juried show, Collections, on display in the Main Gallery.

Unlike many area museums, the Jung Center is open on Mondays. The exhibit will be on display until August 28th.
