H-Town Rock

For the Weekend of August 20th - 23rd

blondie.jpg Folks, we are still engrossed in our current foray to Nashville, so this weekend's H-Town Rock may be brief. We're quite excited we'll be returning in time to catch Ghost Mountain's show tonight, as we missed them yesterday. There's a pretty good punk show at Mango's tonight as well.

On Friday, while Incubus rocks the northern territories, Houston recording whiz Dan Workman will be putting in a rare performance appearance at Dan Electro's Guitar Bar. Local rockers The Last Place You Look are playing their last show for a while at Scout Bar, and we might be found drowning in Ryan Scroggins odd Texas reggae at Fitzdown.

Saturday the 90s roll through House of Blues, people will be cranking that Robocop and chanting "a milli" in The Woodlands, and you'll find us at Dan Electro's for an epic throwback hip-hop show hosted by Dubtex.

Sunday is oddly busy, and while you won't find us at the crossroads of Dallas and Caroline, our hearts will be pining for Pat Benatar's best shot as she joins Deborah Harry at the Arena Theatre. There's a fine show at Rudyard's for their 30th anniversary, as well, so we may wind up there.
