Daily-ist Tuesday: The Secret Word

092909_4212.jpg Yet another reading series, which apparently has been going on for a while but which Houstonist didn't know about until recently. This one is organized by the Starving Poets, and takes place every Tuesday night at Cafe 4212 in the middle of Midtown and the Third Ward. The weekly line-up looks interesting.

Admission is $5 tomorrow night, though Houstonist is not sure why there is a charge for a poetry reading. EXCEPT that next week's reading features Sunni Patterson, from HBO's Def Poetry Jam, which we think is probably worth that night's $10 admission. Still Houstonist thinks tonight's event is worth checking out. You might just see us there.

The Secret Word Reading Series

Date and Time: 7:30 p.m. tonight
