H-Town Rock

For the Week of October 5th - 7th, 2009

sdre2small.jpg Greetings dearest reader. Allow us to pass on our lesson learned from this weekend: there is such a thing as too much free Hennessy. Don't think that killed the fun we had, however. Here's a look at what's coming up over the next few days.

Monday is a pretty light night, so if you're still recovering from the weekend then Houstonist will forgive you should you not make it out to the Snow Patrol show. If you pass on going out Tuesday, however, you're a fool. Colour Revolt is bound to be amazing, even if playing at the Sweatiest Venue in Town™ [also - we love the new stage placement], Kings of Leon and Thievery Corporation are guaranteed to pack the bigger venues, and some dudes [whom we loved dearly] from 1998 are back together at Warehouse Live. If that's not enough to get you out of the house, both Spain Colored Orange and The Manichean have shows as well, so hop to it!

Wednesday, while our friends at Rocks Off get painted up to cover the ICP show [may God rest poor juggalo-Hlavaty's soul], we'll opt for Nico Vega and those pop-rocking suburb kids The Ride Home at The Meridian. The Sounds should put on a pretty good set at House of Blues, as well.

Where are you going to be, Houston?
