Daily-ist Tuesday: Art Lies Lecture at the Menil

This year, the sixth anniversary of the Art Lies lecture, will feature Raphael Rubinstein, a New York-based art critic and poet. Rubinstein’s lecture, “A Reading Of,” will explore the tradition of poems composed in response to artworks.

Rubinstein will present a selection of poems by prominent poets written about works by artists such as Cy Twombly, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Richard Tuttle.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Entrance to The Menil is always free. Rubinstein's readings will be followed by a reception and book signing at the Menil Collection Bookstore.
